If you aren't ready to commit to owning an RV but want to explore the RV Lifestyle, Renting is a great option! Whether you are a first time RV'er, Planning on Full Time RV'ing someday or you just want ta weekend getaway, You can learn all about RV's while renting and have a blast while doing it!

Here are some tips if you are planning on Renting an RV:

1.) Plan Your Destination:

If it's your first time renting, it's a good idea to pick a campground or destination that is close to you and your rental source. In case you have any difficulties on your first adventure, you want to be in a nearby area (or an area with cell phone service)

If you feel comfortable enough and are planning a destination that is further away, make sure to have your route planned out and your site booked if you are staying at a campground.

2.) Plan Your Budget:

RV Rental Prices range from different sizes and destinations. Here at Affinity RV, We have different Rental Packages to fit your budget and what will best fit your rental needs. We also have designated destination packages with optional upgrades that include, tours, food and fun!

Also make sure to plan how many miles you will be traveling per day in your rental, gas prices vary in different areas and driving at a speed of 55mph is optimal for the best gas mileage and saves on the use of electronics, heat and water in your RV.

3.) Picking Your Rental:

When choosing the rental to fit your wants and needs, it's important to ask yourself questions such as:

"Does this Rental have the space I need?"

"Do I feel comfortable towing?"

"Do I feel confident parking and backing up my Rental?"

"Does this Rental fit my budget?"

It's important to ask all the questions you have about the RV you are planning on renting. At Affinity RV, our Rental Manager, Jolene, is wonderful about answering all your questions and guiding you through your walk through before you hit the road. We want you to be knowledgeable and feel comfortable in your Rental Unit.

4.) Getting Prepared:

Now that you have planned your budget, destination and chose the perfect rental, make sure to have all your loose ends in order. Pack your RV properly, don't forget your accessories such as blankets, sheets, meals planned, lawn chairs, etc.

When packing your RV, make sure to have all your items stored properly so they don't come loose in transit.

Here at Affinity RV, we also have Accessory Options available for your convenience.

5.) Hitting The Road:

When you are packed and ready for your adventure, make sure to pay attention during your Rental Walk Through. Take notes if needed and make sure you have all your questions answered before taking off.

Have You Rented Before? What tips would you give others who are renting for the first time?

We would love to hear your experience with your Rental from Affinity RV!
